Will, an English musician, wears our Stardust hankie in South East London.

Made after some photographs from dance shows, choreographed by Pina Bausch, dancer and founder of the international company Tanztheater Wuppertal, Stardust is made of little grey dots, silkscreened on black velvety satin silk. We have asked musician Will Hart, bass player at Chubby Thunderous Bad Kush Masters, a London based rock band, to interpret our hankie. Will wears a formal black suit, white cotton shirt and silk pearl tie.

Stardust references also a video by avantgarde artist Maya Deren, an important American filmmaker. Deren made experiments with film and dance in the 1950s. The Very Eye of Night (1958), a black-and-white short movie, sees a group of dancers performing a choreography. The dancers are projected on a negative surface, as if moving into space: a starry background. We have chosen Pina Bausch's choreography to add more pathos to Deren's dreamy scene, so that you may carry some of the artists' ecstatic stills in your pocket.

Bring Stardust with you at a dinner party, a gig, a wedding, or a romantic night out. Your hankie can be a statement of freedom, eccentricity, debonair faith, or just an accessory that you will not find on the high street. It's all written in the stars.
