The image depicts Thetis and Nereids (sea nymphs) riding a dolphin and a sea monster, surrounded by fishes, another fantastical hybrid, and a dolphin. The nymphs bring the armour of Achilles (a cuirass and a shield), in preparation for the war of Troy. Different objects float around them: an anchor, a mask, a helmet and a scarf.
